I was able to watch The Front Line yesterday, a South Korean war movie depicting the Korean War between the North and the South. It tells the story of an officer being sent to the Eastern front to investigate why letters from the North are being sent to the South through one of the units there, Alligator Company. While conducting his investigation, he also took part in the struggle for Aerok Hill, which seem to change hands on a day to day basis. All of these leading to the final days before both sides signed the cease-fire agreement.
This movie I would say is a mix of Saving Private Ryan with Enemy Behind the Gates. The plot is not too complicated to follow while the many fighting scenes are beautifully shot. And there are many. This is highly recommended for those who enjoy highly realistic war film. I certainly did.
