Inside Combat Rescue

I had just finished with a National Geographic documentary called Inside Combat Rescue.  A six part series that portrayed the activities of a team from the US Air Force Para Rescue deployed in Afghanistan.

Every episode followed different members from the team as they deploy to rescue US and ANA soldiers who were injured in battle and as well as civilians.  Viewers are able to see the action up close thanks to the abundant cameras placed inside the Pave Hawk helicopters as well as on the helmet of the PJs themselves.

For those who does not have the National Geographic Channel, search for Inside Combat Rescue on YouTube for the full six episodes.  I highly recommend this.

KOPASKA EXPO 2012

Found this video clip on YouTube.  Credit goes to the person who uploaded it.  Shows what Indonesia's KOPASKA uses.  Which in this case, everything.  Just have a look at that gun rack. From AKs to AUGs.

KOPASKA

Seeing as I will be returning home in a few months, I decided to look up the military for Indonesia, just for the heck of it.  I was actually surprised at how well equipped some of their operators are.  As a whole, it seems like they are regarded as one of the better trained in SE Asia.  One particular unit that grabbed my attention was KOPASKA of the Navy.  They are modeled after the US Navy SEALs and to my surprise, are quite well equipped as well.

South Korean Presidential Bodyguards Training Drill

Found these picures on the interwebs of supposed presidential bodyguards from South Korea demonstrating their capabilities.  Wearing suits and sporting H&K weapons, I could not resist saving some of the pictures.

This guy is stylin' with the sexy MP7.
