Guns, guns, guns!

Welcome to my armory.  Below you will find information on my various collection of airsoft guns.

 CYMA AK74U

For a relatively cheap gun, this little package blew me away.  I love the small form factor of this gun and the weight of it just feels right.  The construction is full metal and wood, although it is not steel.  My only gripe is the shoddy QC and a somewhat "loose" hop up which make this gun not too reliable at long distances.  Despite these flaws, it didn't prevent me from enjoying it and getting many kills with it for the last two years.  It is stock at 370fps and I normally ran this gun with .30 BB Bastard ammo and a 11.1v LiPo battery.  I will continue to field this for many years to come.

SYSTEMA M4A1 PTW

This gun have been my work horse for the last four years and doesn't seem like anything will stop it.  Except for rain.  Full metal construction and built with the same dimension as a real one, 3-round burst, and a super fast trigger response, it is not hard to see why I do not own another Armalite platform in my collection.  I have equiped it with a SureFire M952 combat light with an IR filter, MagPul trigger guard and a Knights Armament RIS.  It is normally installed with the blue cylinder for outdoor use that gets me around 370fps or the black cylinder for indoor use.  Regardless of the velocity, this gun shoots hard and fast to deal death upon my enemies.

 REALSWORD TYPE 56

This gun was purchased out of curiosity at first.  The brand name was new and I was attracted to the full steel and wood construction.  There were also rumours that the gun was manufactured at the factory that made the real steel counterparts.  Whatever the case may be, this gun is just as tough as its real steel brother.  The only drawback was the meager 280fps and a super tight hopup.  The hop issue is the same all across the board on all RealSword guns so I just learned to adjust it by a hair.  The velocity was also bumped up to a more passable 320fps.  Also, despite having a solid stock, this gun only take stick batteries in the upper receiver, right into the gas tube.  The stock rubber folding bayonet is replaced with an aluminum one.

 REALSWORD TYPE 56-1

I quickly became a big fan of the RealSword brand and proceeded to collect the rest of their Type 56 line, including this 56-1.  Built in the same way as the others, the steel and wood is just too nice to pass up.  The only down side is the folding stock moves up and down a bit when it is folded out.  Could mean a difference in accuracy but I have yet to game this enough to know.  This particular one was downgraded from 430fps to a more manageable 370fps.

REALSWORD TYPE 56-2

One of my favorite to game, the Type 56-2 is a very unique gun in that it is only made by RealSword and its real steel version was only issued to Chinese commandos.  It comes with a very solid folding stock but I dislike the aftermarket railed foregrips on it.  I will eventually look to replace it with a standard looking set of grips.  Other than that, this gun is typical of the brand and shoots 320fps.  I will eventually also upgrade the velocity to take advantage of my prefered .30 weight BB Bastard ammo.

 CYMA AK74

This gun have yet to be fired, let alone gamed.  Despite the size and its metal receiver, this gun is quite light.  The construction seem quite solid and I will have to take this for a spin one of these days.  As of this writing, I don't even know how hard this gun shoots.  I still have to acquire a battery for this gun as well since all the ones I currently have are wired for small Tamiya.

CLASSIC ARMY MP5K

A recently acquited gun, I have yet to game this still.  It is second hand so there are some wear and tear on the receiver, which I don't mind at all.  This was something I wanted for a long time and persistence paid off when I saw it for sale.  Shoots around 280fps but I don't mind as this will be used primarily in a CQC environment.  This gun uses only 8.4v stick battery as my stick LiPo does not seem to fit in the battery compartment.

  1. Haha I know you have more than that. ;) And after my housing situation clears up I can help you with the other RS' and get the FPS up.
