Op Hydra
Yesterday, several members of Team Ghosts attended an airsoft game at Flag Raiders that was hosted by Zeon. Us as a team was a late addition to the roster as we wanted to make up the numbers to make the game a go. Little did we know that we were the only ones who showed up, other than the host. There was only one person on the roster who actually came out. Two others came but they never signed up. My guess is that a series of just odd happenings made things the way they are, but its disconcerting none the less.
But we make the best of the situation and the game went on. Everyone showed up wearing MultiCam but with such small numbers, it was not an issue identifying friends from foes. As with many great games, its usually the small ones that are most memorable. This was no exception. The team always had fun, and its even more fun when we face ourselves.
The weather was almost perfect as during the day time it was quite hot. Towards the evening when it cooled a bit, things went even better. I managed to get some good kills and was also killed quite a bit. Sneaking up a hill towards Marine Base was intense. And at night, I managed to sneak up to the team's resident sniper/recce specialist.
Over all, I had great fun at this event regardless of the roster issue and my replacement buckle for my chest rig held up. Best fifty cents I ever spent. Now to buy a new set of goggles as the metal eye piece to my PVS-14 managed to scratch up the lens to my ESS Land Ops goggle quite badly. Oh well, such is airsoft life.
