Propper APCU Level V Soft Shell Jacket

A new month and a new purchase.  This time, its a soft shell jacket made by AdventureTech under the Propper brand name.  The reason why I purchased this jacket is because most of the team members bought this jacket when they found out this particular one was being phased out.  From a retail price of $350, it was marked down to $100.  With that kind of discount, I could not resist.  I bought this in Alpha Green sized Large and I am very impressed with its function.  I took it for a spin yesterday in the rain and it kept the water out.  So far, this jacket has been a great purchase.

Here is a little blurb from the manufacturer:

Constructed with 4-Way stretch, highly-durable softshell fabric that features Nanosphere treatment to protect againts dirt, grime and water. The Level 5 Softshell offers outstanding wind and water repellency, moisture wicking and a high abrasion resistance - perfect for the harshest operational theatres.

4-way Stretch 91% Nylon 9% Spandex – Soft-Shell The ultimate in durability and comfort, heavier than Duro's 2-way stretch item and is ideal for more rugged use. The face is Schoeller NanoSphere® Treated. NanoSphere® finishing technology is revolutionizing the textile industry. Nature's phenomenal “self-cleaning principle” is now also available in textiles. Splashes and annoying stains don't have a chance: ketchup, honey, coffee, red wine oil and grease, as well as water of course, simply run off the nano-surface – even after numerous washes. Oil and grease repelling properties at a level never seen before. Washing permanence is many times higher than with conventional finishes. Water absorption is considerably lower than with other methods of impregnation. The impregnation stands up well to pressure and friction (e.g. when wearing a backpack). The nano-function regenerates itself through heat treatment and drying in the air.
