Gaming Time

Yesterday, seeing as I did not have to work this weekend, I called up two friends for some multiplayer video game action.  We decided to have a small lunch and proceeded to shop at the local Bulk Barn for some game time snacks.  Satisfied with the abundant provisions for a long session, we proceeded to power up our units.  As some of you may know, I have reduced this particular hobby to almost non existant, except for when I truly felt like actually playing.  With other people, it hasn't happened since the days of Mario Kart 64.

The game was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the 3DS.  For those who are not familiar with the series, imagine a game where dinosaur and dragon like monsters still roam a primitive world.  The player is a hunter whose job is simply to hunt these monsters.  So imagine where a game only consisted for boss fights against gigantic flying dragons and grinding.  Endless grinding to obtain items and materials to build better armors and weapons to better fight these enemies.  That is essentially what this game is like.

We called it a night close to 1am and I went home tired and felt a little sick from all the sweets we ate during this monster hunting session.  I look forward to the next time we get together to hunt a few more monsters.
