Bravely Default

I have been playing this game over the weekend after picking it up about a week ago.  I must say I cannot put this game down.  I am completely addicted to this game.

Why do I love this game so much?  I think this is due the fact that this game is essentially the classic Final Fantasy games I played decades ago.  It is different in name but the gameplay is exactly the same.  The battle system, job classes, items, and even monsters seem to have been lifted from the older games.  The music is superb and really suit the game well and the background images are hand drawn and really convey the atmosphere.  I do not have enough good things to say about this game.

Another fun aspect is the town building in this game.  Your goal is to populate your town and the only way to do that is to StreetPass another player.  A friend and I had quite some fun walking around downtown Toronto on a weekend just to add people.  By having more residents, they in turn can help rebuild shops which allow you to purchase items from.  Of course, those without friends can obtain some online but you are limited to only 3 a day.

I've been away too long writing this so I will go back to playing.
